if so why?

There hasn't been a really memorable episode since breast cancer show ever. The second half of the season 12 wasn't all that great. Ungroundable was pretty good but other than that and bcse, the second half for the most part sucked. Even this season so far i felt 3 episodes went in the toilet especially the most recent two.

Well i tell you but plz respect my opinion, i been watching south park ever since the begining and i know the difference between the old and the new south park. The old south park was just original and them coming up with there own ideas such as a giant barbara striesand attacking the town and stan's muntain cloan and so on, the new south park is parodying things overally too much and becoming too political and making fun alot of celebrities in every episode they make (well not every single episode). And sometimes i find about the new south park is that there's alot of nasty/violent scenes. And another thing, ever since chef was killed off the show it has even gone more downhill. So i prefer the old south park to be honest, to me it's not the same anymore. So this is just my opinion so plz respect that. I guess this is all i have to say.

^Totally. Like i said, the second half of last season is where it started to take a nosedive. It's just missing the originality it used to have (like all the boys together for example). There's not really a whole lot of kyle or kenny anymore (too much overkill with butters). I may have to just watch my dvds if it doesn't get better real quick.

It's gone a little downhill for me...I just think old South Park was more original than new South Park :l

Kyle#1 fan: why would I get mad about your opinion let alone you disagreeing with me...I'm not like that and if you thought so well you haven't really learned much about me. I dont get mad and if I did i was probably in a bad mood and i am very sorry for doing so

KyleDenny

Yeah, nobody's going to think any differently of you expressing an opinion, especially me (unlike sps, where they ban people who say sp is going downhill). Everybody here respects one another's views on a matter and we will never get pissed at somebody for doing so.

Even though I am still a loyal South Park fan, and been one for 10yrs. I have to agree that South Park is just not the same as it used to be sure there are episodes that I really enjoy but the old South Park was better and more fun and all the characters got an equal spot light. Now it's just political stuff we hear on the news and stuff I try to ignore it and stay optimistic about SP since it's the only tv show I watch but it just seems to quote John "A different show with the name, and the same cast"

It's just it's change so much I know that's evolution but it's really changed if you put an old episode of South Park next to a new one they couldn't be anymore different. And one of my peeves is the very lack of use of Kenny now a days. I know got the season opener, which is a miracle in my case, but since The Ring he doesn't even SPEAK at all. No lines, not even a word , I'm glad that at least there are less "No shows" and that he is there to begin with but I wish to hear him too. So yeah SP has gone down hill just a bit but I'll still always be a loyal fan.

hey cartoon cutie, is just that ever since i said on south park studios that south park has been going downhill people have been disrespecting my opinion an been banning me. So i just put that in my post cause incase, but i'm sorry about that. But i know all of you are really nice and i trust all of you so no hard feelings. :)

KyleDenny

Noticed that on there too, huh? That was the exact words on that thread there, either they ban people or people just abandon their accounts. That's the biggest reason i don't post on there and if i do, i make sure there aren't any assholes who haven't posted there. Hell, just look at my post count here compared to there.

Kyle#1fan: It's fine...were not like SP studios cuz SP studios' members all are meanspirited and called me a n00b and a troll so yeah

I hate those people there.

Well to start, since season one south park has been changing a little every season, characters completely disappear (like Pip), others become more prominent (like Randy and Butters). At the moment Kenny and Kyle are slowly fading into the background (but not completely like Margaretaville and the ring). Think about the history of south park, in the early days Pip was in every episode, now he's never seen and never mentioned. In season 4 to 6 Timmy was at the hight of his popularity and used allot, now he is reduced to a background character. It's true that south park has gotten more political, but thats what it's been known for for a very long time. Another thing, the end of season 12 and season 13 haven't been all bombes. I loved episodes like breast cancer show ever, elementary school musical, the ring, and the coon. Don't forget that when you look over on episodes like eat pray queef and fishsticks your usually comparing it to your favorite moments of your favorite episodes. Personally I don't think it's gone downhill, it's just changed.

i know kylesbigfan there all mean but i haven't got insulted on there yet. It seems liked it changed a bit. And cartmanvskyle i do agree with some of things you said like not all episodes are bad. I will always love elementary school musical and breast cancer show and of course alot more from other seasons too.

Yeah I understand the people at SP Studios can be REAL DICKS.

KyleDenny
04-11-2009, 05:20 AM
Yeah and if somebody on there started with me, i'll shut them up. I did it before when some asshole tryed telling me i didn't know what i was talking about (i forget what it was about but i know it wasn't something stupid like people on there tend to fight about) but after i straighted them out, they shut up. Most of the time when i go on there, i don't even bother to log in. AASP is just as bad and seeing things like that makes me start to lose faith in the human race.

bridon#1fan
04-11-2009, 07:21 AM
yeah i had this girl once who said that i was annoying her. But i was just posting like a normal person. I also had this guy said to me that what i posted was stupid but normally i tell them off like you said.

KyleDenny
04-11-2009, 08:15 AM
They're just ignorant. We're better people for not letting that kind of shit piss us off to the point where we get so into that, we get into fights with those people. We're all too old to be involved in that shit. Something else that bothers the hell out of me is how much people don't know how to spell even on facebook. I like doing the sp trivia on there and even if i'm not on there very long, i find at least 15-20 spelling errors (even earlier the one that really got me was some idiot who spelled kyle's name with an "i" instead of "y". There's also a lot of questions that have at least 10 of the exact same one. So yeah, unlike other places, we all respect one another in every way here and that will never change and if it does we will sort that person out.

bridon#1fan
04-11-2009, 07:40 PM
yeah i agree with what you said just now. People on the sps studios board can't spell right.

Wow this thread went in a totally different direction...

In my opinion I totally dont think its gone downhill.
I agree with cartmanvskyle. Its just changed from earlier seasons. Some changes are welcome and some arent...
I kinda think they should lay off the parodying and pop culture stuff a little tho...

In my opinion this season has been great so far. (havnt had a chance to see fishsticks yet) Definetly uphill from the second half of season 12.

I forgot to menton something else, in my opinion i think south park went downhill during season 5. That's when i noticed a change.

cartmanvskyle
04-12-2009, 07:56 PM
also in the earlier seasons allot of the episodes had more interesting plots, but i kinda find them hard to watch only for the reason that the kids seemed kind of dull. Also some of the early ones had way to much going on, like the episode summer sucks, there's like four different stories!

bridon#1fan
04-13-2009, 12:44 AM
yeah but the new one's i just find that they have to parodize everything, and it's not there own idea.

KyleDenny
04-13-2009, 04:53 AM
It just needs to be occasional parodizing like before. The biggest mistake these days i still say is the lack of all the characters together and the overkill of butters.

bridon#1fan
04-13-2009, 06:16 AM
yeah i know.

Cartooncutie16
04-17-2009, 01:35 AM
I made this thread only to find out I havent posted my opinion lol:
yes I do think south park has gone downhill the earlier seasons were original and all the characters were equally distributed throughout the show. now its just i dunno all the political jokes and shit are getting old (even though i do like political jokes lol). I like south park but not as much as I used to i feel like matt and trey have let me down.
If I had to choose episodes that I liked it would be the ring, mysterion, and fishsticks not too big of a fan of the pinewood derby episode and i definately hated the april fools episode.

i think the old episodes were really really good, but i still love the new ones.
They are just different, but still good.
And i miss chef, and is mrs crabtree even in it still?

Oh that sucks.

I started watching in the fourth season so maybe I don't have the nostalgia everyone else seems to have I think it got better when they went to fourth grade. I was hardcore into it and never missed an episode until season seven when I got into other things in my life and wasn't into tv so much. I think the first half of season 11 is really down hill and I hardly watch those episodes except the last disk. I was a fan again when I saw imaginationland and it blew my mind. I like the new episodes, I like season 13 better than season 12.

If you wanna talk about a show that went downhill I've been pissed at family guy since the idiotic 100th episode ending. I stopped watching after that. my brother thinks I don't like family guy because they got made fun of on south park but the new episodes are not funny and make me want to throw things at the tv. I think family guy ran out of ideas.

06-17-2009, 05:04 AM
I have no cable! my tv watching is all local channels and dvd's. south park, my name is earl, neon genesis evangelion, nana, sailor moon, random movies I have.

we have cable in our living room, sometimes I watch adult swim or E!. gotta love that denise richards.

KyleDenny
06-17-2009, 05:37 AM
No cable for me either. Might as well get it again since these digital channels still suck ass. Weekends aren't worth tv time, it's just paid programming, golf, racing, the most boring shit.
