Cartman hates Kyle?

before you answer "Yes R-tard!", i would like us to wonder what exactly was cartman's deal in Smug Alert!

he saves kyle, he risks his own life and enters san francisco (hell for cartman lol) just to save kyle, what is that about? i understand that butters is no fun to fight since he has no spine and doesnt fight back, but there are sure other people out there who he could find to rip on that would be a good enough replacement, and yet he didnt bother searching that much before deciding that he had to get kyle back

so in the end, how much does he really hate kyle?
is his hate for kyle as big as he would like everyone to believe?
is his hate/obsession for kyle just provoked for him being jewish?
is it something more maybe?
is he just an absolute creep weirdo who makes absolutely no sense? :p

would love to hear opinions/theories or whatever comes to your mind :D

This is my opinion, I'm not so sure if he hates him or likes him? He did donate his kidney in cherokee hair tampons, and saved his life in imaginationland part 2. But my hands are tied.

^ i didnt mention either of those episodes because cartman didnt donate his kidney, he was tricked into giving it up, so there's no question about his hate for kyle right there, and in imaginationland he just wanted kyle to live so he could finally suck his balls, which shows that he would rather see kyle's humilliation than demise, which isnt much better really, still shows a clear hate

but Smug Alert really makes me wonder dude, he would've got nothing out of it like kyle sucking his balls and he did it very willingly and knowingly of his actions, he made the choice that he prefers having kyle around than not, that doesnt sounds like as much hate to me as it most times appears to be

It was just my opinion. I know he hates him for being jewish. But you are right about him bringing back to life so cartman can just suck his balls. And i know he didn't really want to donate his kidney for kyle. But still, i really do think he likes him deep down inside.

For one thing Cartman never willingly donates a kidney to Kyle. He wouldn't have given it to him at all however his Mom and Stan snuck in and took his kidney while he was sleeping and gave it to Kyle without Cartman's permission.

Second is in Smug Alert if you listen closely Cartman tells Butters "I'm not doing this for Kyle" and Stan also mentions that without Kyle Cartman has no one to pick on as much and if watch he tries to make Butters a "replacement Jew" so he can have a Jew to rip on and so Cartman pretty much saves Kyle in order to let loose his Jew cracks on someone and he has someone responding him with the anger he so craves. At the end when he calls Kyle one of his usual anti-Semitic slurs "Jew rat!" you see he breathes a sigh of relief meaning he needs Kyle as a Jewish Punching Bag and that's the only reason he saved him.

well yes, cartman doesnt exactly do the saving for kyle since cartman doesnt know how to love so he would never do anything completely selflessly, but doing it means that there is some part of kyle with which apparently he cant live without
i think his continual bashing of the jews comes from having kyle around and not the other way round, he hates jews like he hates any other groups of any kind he considers different and below him, but his focus on the jewish religion comes from kyle being there imo, i have the feeling that if kyle would be from any other non catholic religion, from any other race or anything that would be consider a minority of some sort it would be the same thing
what i mean is that while he is a narrow minded intolerant idiot who hates and descriminates everything that is different, to me it feels as though that isnt the main reason why he dislikes and is obsessed with kyle, there is something that he sees in kyle that is different, otherwise he would have just let kyle died and find someone else to rip on such as token for being black (and im sure he would fight back hard too, as opossed to butters)

i think you are right about the fact that cartman seems to crave kyle's anger though, its really funny and weird how he seems to like that lol

something tells me he doesn´t really hate kyle, and somehow he cares about him. About saving him, yeah, it´s kinda unhuman not too, but it shows some consideration. I think he just ripps on him for being jewish or some weird reason, but he doesn´t really hate him.
