im surprised there is no cartoon wars thread yet
this episodes definitely make my top 5 of favourites, they were the kind of episodes i absolutely love in south park

i think this was kyle's best moment on the show, he was beyond awesome on both episodes

i loved at first how cartman makes him doubt and get to the wrong conclussion because he cares, i thought it was great that they did that, it shows how much he cares and that at the end he made the right decission being very aware of the danger and still choosing the right way

i loved the moment when kyle realizes that cartman was lying, when he says softy "you unbelievable son of a bitch" and "I cant believe I let you scare me into taking your side, you used fear to make me stop believing in free speech", and the chace was excellent, so funny how they make the patrol car crash hahhah

i loved the ending of the first part when it says "the battle between Good and Evil is finally waged" kyle being good and cartman being evil of course :p
and then it says "Will television executives fight for free speech? Or will Comedy Central puss out?" lol only matt and trey have enough balls to do that

i loved it when kyle gets to the truck stop and he finds everyone with their heads under the sand and he's like wtf?! hahhah

i loved the part right after cartman convinces the fox president to cancel the episode, he is all celebrating and you hear from behind the "CARTMAN!" he turns around and he sees kyle glaring at him and saying "You fucking fatass!!!" its just perfect! :D
and of course the whole fight is awesome and hilarious

i loved kyle's argument with the fox president at the end, when he goes like "what manatees?!!!" lol thats so funny! and then when he says "You cant do what he wants just because he's the one threatening you with violence" very smart of him, his whole speech was excellent

and of course i loved the little muslims videos, specially the one of osama bin laden where he says "If you look closely at the writing in Family Guy, you will see that the jokes never derive from the plot, and I think thats totally gay" LMAO!! and the last one with the retaliation and how the dude says "take that! we burned you! that was way funnier than family guy" ROFL!!

so yeah, i give these two episodes a 100000/5

Yeah this is a great couple of episodes i also liked the dream when kyle and ike get blown up in that bomb, then he wakes up and the first thing he does is run into ike`s room and makes sure he`s ok.The speech at the end was also awesome like you said,i think this would have made a great movie if it could have been a 3 parter like imaginationland was.kyle did have some great lines too. I enjoy reading the script

"But just like you, I feel like I have to try. People can really get hurt, and a joke just isn't worth that"

^ oh yeah, the part where he has the dream is so sad and its really sweet how he cares so much to be scared like that, it was so cute that he just had to check on ike after the dream and how he lookes at the pic of his family all worried

and yeah i use that scriptorium site all the time cause english isnt my first language so sometimes its hard to follow

This episode definitely makes my top 5. Kyle kicked ass in it. I love the way he stands up to cartman and i think he does it better than anyone else on the show. It shows how well he can reach out to people without resorting to violence like at the end when he convinced the network president to just go along with airing family guy as planned because of our right to free speech without persecution even though cartman was trying to threaten him with that (fake) gun. Also the way when he puts his mind to something he doesn't give up.

^ i know right? he's about the only one that really stands up to cartman, stan kenny or butters rarely fight him on anything, they just let him be a douche

and i also liked how kyle convinced bart, telling him that he would become a monster like cartman if he continued doing stuff like that

^ He seemed convinced right away because of how he heard about what cartman did to scott tenerman's parents

I love the part when they both fought.

I watched both parts again last night because of this thread ,also loved the part when cartman tells kyle if 100 people died would it be funny and kyle looking shocked with his mouth open.

^ yeah lol he was like wtf? is it cartman saying this?

^ He seemed convinced right away because of how he heard about what cartman did to scott tenerman's parents

no, bart found out about that earlier, when cartman is trying to convince him to let him talk to the fox president first, and he still helped cartman after hearing that, kyle had to really convince him that he would become a monster if he continued being that way

and about how they fought i think that was for fun, like them riding the tricycles that it looks like they are going fast but they were actually going really slow lol

Shame we didn`t see any of the conversation between Kyle & Bart

They just make it fun to imagine riding from colorado to L.A. on big wheels even though it would be physically impossible for two 9 year olds to actually do that but i like it

bridon#1fan
09-18-2008, 06:35 AM
Yeah its like a highway speed chase.

KyleDenny
09-18-2008, 07:44 AM
Kind of sad that cops can't chase 2 nine year olds on big wheels

bridon#1fan
09-18-2008, 08:02 PM
Yeah but it was funny.

KyleDenny

Reminds me of cartman's silly hate crime when there was that cop chase while cartman was trying to make a break for it getting kenny to drive to mexico in the go go action bronco

bridon#1fan
09-18-2008, 11:53 PM
It was going so slow.

KyleDenny
09-21-2008, 08:26 AM
And the cops were panicing when they realized kenny wasn't going to stop for that road block

bridon#1fan
09-21-2008, 07:28 PM
Yeah that was funny.

KyleDenny
09-21-2008, 08:56 PM
That gives them an idea of what to expect when they get their liscenses

bridon#1fan
09-23-2008, 01:29 AM
Yeah which is a long time before they do.

KyleDenny
09-23-2008, 07:37 AM
It would be funny if there was an episode where the boys steal a car and go for a joyride

bridon#1fan
09-24-2008, 08:52 PM
I was just about to say that. It would so funny if they drove a car into there school.

KyleDenny
09-25-2008, 12:34 AM
Like on grey dawn with all the old people driving

bridon#1fan
09-25-2008, 01:09 AM
Yeah but instead it would be kids.

KyleDenny
09-25-2008, 08:02 AM
It could be a new edition of world's wildest police videos

bridon#1fan
09-26-2008, 12:51 AM
Yeah that'll be awesome!

KyleDenny
09-26-2008, 09:24 AM
Except this time they actually make it to mexico

bridon#1fan
09-26-2008, 07:56 PM
What if Stan and his friends when on a road trip?

KyleDenny
09-27-2008, 09:59 AM
They should make a movie for that

bridon#1fan
09-27-2008, 09:52 PM
Yeah they should do that.
