I really do not get why almost everyone on this site hates Eric Cartman, do you guys understand how different the show would be with out him??????

Well yeah. I like cartman but i only hate him when he is not nice to kyle or if he is being too obnoxious over things. To be honest Cartman is my fourth favorite.

out of all my favorites, i'd have to say Cartman is my 3rd. i don't HATE him, but the only thing i don't like is that almost every episode is all about him.

I like Cartman because of his sensitive side in some episodes. I like when he made Kyle a Sundae! I thought that was sweet and he brought Kyle back to life! And also when he hugged Kyle saying " I love you man!" I almost cried!

dude, i didnt say i dont like him as a character and no one can possibly question his importance in the show or object the fact that he's very very funny

we're just saying he is a son of a b****, which is very true, but thats how he fits in the show, i mean, there's a big chance that kyle wouldnt be half as cool as he is if cartman wasnt in the show, since one of the things that make him so awesome is how he stands up to cartman all the time whenever the fatty is being all evil :p

he's a very important part of the show, i cant explain to you how much he makes me lol all the time, but he really is a bad person, you cant change that and thats what we are critisizing

alright this is exactly what i think abouth Cartman regaurding being an ass whole. If you notice in the early episodes Cartman was e very angry child, and he had alot of reasons to be angry for example he had a group of friends but none of them really semmed to like him. Also his mom alwaays spoiled him and he didn't have a dad. But to make matters worse he then finds out he never will have a dad and to just give up all hope. So people in his like kind of "planted" and "nutured" this greedyness and the person who really pushed him over the edge was Scott Tenerman, but dose that mean he has completly lost his abbilaty to care? many people will say yes they will say well just look at "Kenny dies". Well if we do look at Kenny dies we will see some interesting things. First of all when he came down the stairs and Stan and Kyletold him Kenny was in the hospital, those emotinos were real. And when he was in the hospital and he told Kenny he was his best friend that was also real and when he was in the hall and he was crying and he hugged Kyle that was also real. When he went to find a cure for his best friend that was real too, it wasn't untill he found out that he cold use stem cells to build another shaky's that the greed people had nutured in him took over his emotions of sympathy.

but part of him is his fault really, there is so much you can blame ur parents for

and i notice that eric got progressively meaner as the show went, before he was just a regular selfish kid, now he's a real son of a b****, he somehow got worse along the way, i guess mean cartman was way funnier

there are factors around him that were partly responsible for him turning out that way, but as i said there's only so much blame u can put on others, he doesnt even seem interested in changing

and about what u said about him having friend who hardly cared for him, well he isnt an easy person to care for since he doesnt seem to give a crap about anyone but himself

Im just gunna say this: you cant have a south park without cartman
yeah he can be a total ass but he can be a good guy too
he's saved kyle's life several times, he admits that he gets upset over not having a dad, and he can be a good friend when they all try to work towards a common goal
plus he's pretty smart
he cant win a fight with brawn, but he is capable of using his head
